You may often see this kind of situation. Before you do the test, the teacher may often ask you to do or not do something during the test and give some instructions how to answer the questions. Your teacher also may give you some suggestion when you do the test to get a better mark. Thus, this situation shows you that suggesting, requesting, and instructing can be used in a specific context.

Viena : I’m looking for a gift for my brother’s birthday. But, I’m confused.
Dani : What is his interest?
Viena : He likes playing games. Do you have any idea?
Dani : How if you buy some dvd games.
Viena : I’m not sure. I don’t know what games he likes.
Dani : Well. Find out what games he likes then you buy one of them.
Viena : Alright. Thank you.
Answer the following questions based on the dialogue you hear.

Based on the dialogue, Viena’s problem is she confused about her brother’s gift. It is mentioned in the first statement. Then, Dani gives a suggestion but she refuses it because she doesn’t know what kind of games her brother like. Finally, Dani asks her to find out.
You may answer the question easily if the script is provided. However, you must practice your listening skill continually because in national exam or another English test you will not find the script.
